As universities and colleges move toward sustainability, making a commitment is the very first step towards achieving that strategic goal. Once the vision and fortitude to reach a climate neutral status is in place it will work as the driving force for all of the campus’s actions. This dedication to the overall commitment will be a constant reminder to strive for the end result. Having a solid commitment will also ensure that next steps – plan, act and report – have a unified purposed as institutions of higher learning move towards climate neutrality.
