BAR Architects

A Senior Associate with BAR Architects, Mark Kelly, AIA, LEED AP, joined the firm in 2004 and brings over 20 years of project management and architectural design experience encompassing a broad spectrum of project types including educational, institutional, hospitality, mixed-use residential and arts and entertainment commissions. Committed to increasing overall sustainability within the community, the industry, and specifically BAR’s projects, Mark works closely with Susan to achieve BAR’s firm wide goal of designing projects to meet, as a minimum, LEED Silver or equivalent criteria. An active leader of BAR’s Green Assistance Team, Mark works with internal project teams to identify and implement sustainability goals for each of the firm’s projects.

Mark is also Co-Chair of the San Francisco AIA Committee on the Environment and served on the jury for the Energy and Sustainability Category of the 2009 AIA SF Design Excellence Awards. He is currently working on the design of several projects targeted to meet LEED gold and platinum certification. Prior to joining BAR, Mark was a Partner in a firm in Hong Kong, designing or acting as the Coordinating Architect on a variety of projects including offices, restaurants and numerous high-end retail projects for both local brands and several European fashion houses.
