Mary S. Spangler, Ed.D. is the chancellor of the Houston Community College System. Before joining HCC in 2007, she was chancellor of Oakland Community College, the largest community college in Michigan. She also served as president of Los Angeles City College, which is the flagship institution of the Los Angeles Community College District, and the largest in the nation.
