Second Nature

Anthony D. Cortese is the President of Second Nature and a co-organizer of the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment. He is co-founder of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education and co-founder and co-coordinator of the Higher Education Associations Sustainability Consortium. He was formerly the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the first Dean of Environmental Programs at Tufts University. He has a B.S. and M.S. from Tufts and a doctorate from the Harvard School of Public Health.
