“Climate Neutral Campus Report” is a published report and companion website produced by Kyoto Publishing in co-operation with Second Nature and the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC).
The report and website contain peer-reviewed white papers, case studies, executive interviews and vendor profiles that share the latest strategies, challenges and solutions for higher education institutions that are striving for climate neutrality.
The Report is designed to help all colleges and universities, not just the signatories of ACUPCC adopt climate neutral strategies. The challenge for the signatories will be to move from commitment, to strategy planning, to acting and then reporting results. We aim to accelerate that journey.
Kyoto Publishing works with thought leaders who hold a variety of positions including - consultants, academics, analysts, ACUPCC Signatories, government officials, and solution providers in order to help higher education leadership understand the best practices for achieving climate neutrality.
ClimateNeutralCampus.com is a destination for higher education leaders. The site offers thought leadership content, case studies of implementations and solutions that can directly and indirectly help campuses achieve higher levels of sustainability.
The ACUPCC is a high-visibility effort to address global warming by garnering institutional commitments to neutralize greenhouse gas emissions, and to accelerate the research and educational efforts of higher education to equip society to re-stabilize the earth’s climate.
Building on the growing momentum for leadership and action on climate change, the Presidents’ Climate Commitment provides a framework and support for America’s colleges and universities to go climate neutral. The Commitment recognizes the unique responsibility that institutions of higher education have as role models for their communities and in training the people who will develop the social, economic and technological solutions for our pursuit of climate neutrality.
The college and university presidents and chancellors who are joining and leading the Commitment believe that exerting leadership in addressing climate change will stabilize and reduce their long-term energy costs, attract excellent students and faculty, attract new sources of funding, and increase the support of alumni and local communities.
